60% reduction in the use of fertilizers and crop protection agents
How does GEGE machine construction’s strawberry tray plant cultivation system work?
At approximately 65 cm above ground, steel profiles support trays that slide easily. A multifunctional vehicle traverses the field, enabling various tasks: spraying, fertilizing, pruning runners, laying and removing film or blackout cloth, and vacuuming old leaves.
The crop yield significantly improves with the use of this crop vehicle. It serves as a pusher for filling 54 rows with up to 6 trays per row. Afterwards, the vehicle aids in planting; 18 individuals handle three rows each, allowing one worker to prune 1 million plants per week.
This vehicle also facilitates tasks for workers, providing comfort and protection from wind, rain, and spray water.
Rail system
By placing the plants on racks, it becomes feasible to maneuver a multifunctional system across the field.
Cuttings
Cuttings can also be cultivated on racks. The cuttings then remain entirely free from contact with the ground, resulting in strong and healthy cuttings.
